Division 1

Kings A 8 – 2 Five Tees C  A convincing win for Kings puts them firmly at the top of division 1, with Andy Prince dropping just 1 game and securing Player of the Match.

Five Tees A 4 - 6 Five Tees B  Some of the best players in the district play for Five Tees and when they have to do battle with each other the outcome is never predictable. On this occasion their B team came out on top, with the unbeaten Nick Webb securing Player of the Match, and Anne Longland, playing up from her usual C team, gaining a valuable point. The evening finished with a gripping doubles, salvaged 14-12 by the A team in the deciding 5th game.

Division 2

Five Tees D 5 – 5 Kings B  This was an exciting and friendly face-off between the current top two teams. Paul Martin used his experience and patience to win against Five Tees’ Saleem Ahmad, having been smashed off the table in the first game and a half. Newcomers to the League, Ed Robertson and Mikey O’Neill both made their mark, gaining two points each for Kings, but it was Five Tees’ veteran Graham Lynch who was again unbeaten and awarded Player of the Match.

Swanmore B 2 – 8 Five Tees E  The home team knew it wouldn’t be an easy night and so it proved to be, with Tony Gregan unbeaten for Five Tees, as was Len Field who fully deserved Player of the Match.  Despite the result, there was some great competitive sport, with fine rallies throughout the evening.

Kings C 4 – 6 South Wonston   A tight match, with the result decided by the doubles at the end of the evening. Adam and Phil Lee each won two sets for South Wonston but it was Kings’ Rich Lewis who was Player of the Match, winning all three, including victory over the impressive Adam. Special mention for Paul Coppin of Kings, securing his first win in this his first season of league table tennis
