Gosport Falcons Youth u15 1 - 8 Romsey Town Youth u15 Panthers
On Remembrance Sunday, Romsey Town’s under 15 Panthers proudly wore poppies on their shirts to travel to Gosport to take on the Falcons in the Hampshire FA County Cup.
The Romsey boys started well by controlling the game and were two up inside 15 minutes with goals from Louie Barelli and Charlie Dodge. Gosport rallied and the game became tighter until a third goal after 30 minutes from Ewan Karnecki put some daylight between the teams. Despite their dominance, the Panthers were unable to further their lead, wasting a number of chances before being made to pay 5 minutes before half time when the Falcons pulled one back.
Into the second half Romsey once again dominated the ball, scoring two early goals from Joshua Dunster and Will Quinn meaning all five goals had been scored by different players. With the result now all but confirmed, the Panthers relaxed and played some of the best football of the match with Joshua Dunster, Ewan Karnecki and Louie Barelli all scoring their second goals, leaving Romsey to run out 1-8 winners.
