Two Totton & Eling teenagers pillaged 13 runs off the last over, including a boundary from the final ball, to dash St Cross Symondians' prospects of Southern Premier League T20 Cup final place.

Boundary hitter Leo Taylor and Ben Holbrook were Totton's last gasp heroes - the Southern Gardens outfit pipping a St Cross total of 146-6 off the last ball bowled by South African Kyle Pluke.

Totton needed three runs to win off the last ball, which Taylor carved aerially over point to spark wild celebrations in the home camp.

It's given Totton home advantage in the Southern Gardens final [September 8) against Havant, who comfortably beat Parley in the other semi-final.

The cup semi-final ended as badly as it began for St Cross, who lost both openers Gregor McKenzie and Felix Organ first ball!

When Wilf La Fontaine Jackson was dismissed at 17-3, St Cross were knee deep in trouble, but Gaz Shreuder's timely 68, aided by late innings knocks by Ed Ellis (33 not out) and  Ben Foster (21 not out), swelled the total from 59-5 to 146-6.

Zimbabwean Richmond Mutumbami (22) got Totton off to a flier, while Bothwell Chapungu (58), whilst typically aggressive, had to glue the innings together as Organ (3-20) began to make inroads.
Billy Blyghton (18) and Brighton Mugochi (17) added useful runs, but Totton still needed 20 to win when Holbrook and Taylor came together with only two wickets left.

But the teen pair (combined age 36 years) got Totton home in the most dramatic fashion.

St Cross Symondians put a serious dent in the Southern Premier League title ambitions of Bashley (Rydal), whom they beat by 64 runs at the Fagan/BCG.

Symondians' success was built around a 138-run further wicket partnership between Wilf La Fontaine Jackson (93) and Gaz Schreuder (84), who hit three sixes and 19 fours between in a stand which batted Bashley out of the contest.

Jack Bransgrove weighed in with a quick-fire 27 as St Cross closed at 273-7.

Bashley needed a similar top score but no one got 40 - Saif Achalzai (39), Michael Porter (36), Will Tripcony (35) and Dan Goodey all making positive start.

Teen Ben Foster (3-45) played a decisive role with his off-spin removing three of Bashley's top four before Dan Goodey (31) hit him out of he attack. His previous eight overs cost only 27 runs.

Organ, with a tidy 3-19, dismissed three of the last four Bashley batters as the hosts closed 209-9.
