Forty-six year old Tim Felstead turned back the clock with a vintage five-wicket spell which wrecked Parley's top order and set up a crucial 18-run victory for Trojans in the Southern Premier Division 3 promotion scrap.

He returned figures of 5-38 as Trojans defended 155-7 (Zaheer Khan 26) and eventually bowled top four rivals Parley out for 137 to stand third in the log behind leaders Fawley and Sparsholt, whom they host on Saturday.

The five-wicket haul was all part of a whirlwind weekend for the long serving Felstead, who raised a glass or two of Pimms to the retiring Jimmy Anderson at Lords's the previous day.

His figures, which had Parley reeling at 25-5 at one stage, won him the Southern Premier League round 11 Cricketer of the Week award, as pictured.

Trojans victory wasn't all down to Felstead, who heaped praise on left-hand opener Nigel LeBas for the technique he showed in getting the Stoneham side off to a good start.

He said: "Conditions were understandably very tricky after the pre-match rain (which led to a 40-over game), but Nigel - who's in good nick at the moment - used all his experience, particularly when to play and/or leave the ball.

"We had 95 runs on the board when he got out. They were invaluable."

Rhaul Bhome (3-17) weighed in as Parley crashed to 59-7 but refused to throw in the towel - teen Kieran Laird (32) initiating a fightback which saw last pair Andrew Cooke (36) and Jack Nicholls (20 not out) add 53 before they were parted.
