Once again, Winchester Rugby Club is hosting its ever popular Sevens Rugby Festival on Saturday, May 18.
The Mucky Duck Winchester Sevens will have some fantastic rugby to spectate and will be a family focused event.
They have cracking plans for the day with 40 teams across men's elite open, women's comp and men's social competitions with action getting underway at 10am.
Finals are in the late afternoon but the social activities will go on well into the evening.
For the first time there will be a new mixed touch competition and for kids of all ages, a free rugby skills open to all and a clinic with the dedicated coaching team at the helm.
For the families there will be free bouncy castles, soft play, face painting, balloon animals and treasure hunt. There will be food with the in house team providing a BBQ, hog roast and curry.
On top of this they will also be inviting other providers – from Mexican to Fijian in the new “foodie” village
They will also have a guest ale bar, barista and ice cream van.
Club chairman Steve Barrow said: “This great annual tradition goes from strength to strength and everyone is welcome, admission is free and everyone from the local community is invited to come down and see what we are all about at Winchester Rugby Club.”
