For many years, Winchester Hockey Club has been providing opportunities for hundreds of youngsters to take up the sport, improve and even compete at a national level.
The club prides itself on its “open to all” approach, including children who just want to take part and enjoy themselves to those that have the ambition to take their hockey to an elite level.
Most days of the week, you will find a group of children, coached by enthusiastic parents and helpers, training or playing at Kings School, University of Winchester at Bar End or Ganger Farm in Romsey.
Over the last 12 months, the club has been working with England Hockey as part of its new talent system and has been rewarded with an accreditation as an England Hockey Talent Centre.
This prestigious accreditation is a recognition of its fantastic junior development and offers a tremendous springboard to grow hockey in the local area.
The club seeks further local pitches and a clubhouse facility to ensure it can continue to serve our community.
