The event will be hosted by Great Britain’s double world 110m hurdles champion and former world record holder Colin Jackson.
Over the past year, Georgia has won the British Baton Twirling Sporting Association Champion of Champion award, securing her the position of the highest-ranked English Competitor for BBTSA.
In preparation for the upcoming National Baton Twirling Associations competition, she is training hard to retain her current national titles, utilising Winchester Sport and Leisure Park to train.
Alongside Georgia, Winchester Sport and Leisure Park has also been nominated for Everyone Active’s Sporting Champion Awards, for the Site of The Year category. This award acknowledges the high standard of facilities and day-to-day colleague support provided to athletes who use the Everyone Active Sporting Champions Scheme.
The Sporting Champions Awards ceremony will be preceded by a mentoring workshop, led by the scheme’s team of elite athletes.
Olympic and Paralympic stars Lutalo Muhammad, Richard Kilty, Maisie Summers-Newton, Kadeena Cox and Lauren Steadman will share their insights and experiences to help guide the Sporting Champions athletes in their own careers.
