Romsey rower, Emily Green won the senior woman's trophy at the Weybridge Silver Sculls Head Race held on Saturday October 14.
Her winning time was more than a minute ahead of the next competitor. The event is a time trial along a section of the River Thames attracting hundreds of rowing race goers
Emily is a member of BTC Rowing Club in Southampton and first tried rowing when she was 14 years old. She only started competing again last year after a break of five years which was originally because of injury but then the Covid pandemic followed.
She also won a time trial at Reading the weekend before Weybridge. On her return to competing last year she posted many good results including other wins in the time trial events.
