WELLOW juniors golf club has held its annual Easter Pairs competition.
Taking place on Monday, April 10, the event was sponsored by Simplify Consulting, with director Kate Monserrate and Wellow junior organiser Steve Chester conducting a live draw for the competition pairings and tees.
Twenty-three juniors played, with nine pairs and five non-handicappers playing in their own competition alongside their peers. The winners of the competition were Farren Porter and Olly Sims, with prizes also being given to the non-handicappers.
Prize giving was then followed by an indoor barbeque provided by Simplify Consulting.

With a dedicated Junior Committee and support from the Wellow Management Team, the junior section has gone from strength to strength with 79 members ranging from 7 to 18 years.
The aim of the section is to help juniors to enjoy their golf, whatever level they aspire to, and to make their golfing experience one of fun, whilst in a friendly and safe environment, where friendships can be made. The development of juniors is vital for the future of all golf clubs, and at Wellow, the aim is to do everything possible to help juniors achieve their goals in the game.
The Wellow juniors benefit from coaching by Danny Harris, PGA Golf Coach and winner of the England Golf Award 2023, Participation & Development Coach of the Year. A number of club members have been selected for the Hampshire boys and girls teams and squads 2023.
