A WINCHESTER based company will be providing financial support for The Winchester Royals’ upcoming season to try and give back to the community.
The Winchester Royals women’s basketball team have been sponsored by local telecommunications consultancy, Kid-A. The sponsorship, which will see Kid-A being featured on the team’s kit, will ensure that financial support is given to The Royals for their upcoming season.
The Winchester Royals currently compete in the Wessex Basketball League. Player Natalie Smyth said: “We are so pleased to have Kid-A as a fully-fledged member of our squad. It makes every single member of our 30 strong team feel special. We can't wait to wear the Kid-A logo on our kit with pride”.

Company co-founder Andy Silcock added: “We’re a company which loves all our amazing women. We couldn’t be prouder to be sponsoring the Winchester Royals and raising awareness for the need to fund local Women’s sports teams.
“We’re all buzzing to be sitting courtside and cheering the team on! Gwarrrrrn ladies! Big love”

The telecommunications consultancy became the first in its industry to earn B-Corporation certification, recognising the organisation’s environmental efforts, legal commitment and transparency.
The Radiohead inspired company hope to continue pressing for a positive change within the local community through the new sponsorship deal.
