CORONAVIRUS cases across five areas of Test Valley are starting to rise, an interactive map has revealed.
The Government map, which uses Public Health England data, shows how many people have tested positive for the virus in each part of the borough in the week up to March 24.
The map is divided into Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs), which are areas with an average population of 7,200.
It then colour-codes MSOAs depending on their seven-day rolling infection rate, with areas placed into the boundaries of 0-9 (yellow), 10-49 (light green), 50-99 (dark green), 100-199 (light blue), 200-399 (dark blue), 400 to 799 (light purple) and 800 plus (dark purple).
In the seven days up to March 24, the borough recorded 42 cases - up by six on the previous week - and had a weekly rolling rate of 33.3 cases per 100,000 people.
However, the infection rate in Test Valley is still below average compared to the UK average.
The five places where cases are rising in the borough are:
- Chilworth, Nursling & Rownhams (6 cases; +4 on the previous week; rolling rate of 90.2)
- Nether Wallop, King's Somborne & Dunbridge (4 cases; +2 on the previous week; rolling rate of 51.5)
- Andover London Road & East Anton (11 cases; +5 on the previous week; rolling rate of 64.8)
- Andover Newbury Road (3 cases; +1 on the previous week; rolling rate of 39.1)
- Andover Central (5 cases; +3 on the previous week; rolling rate of 62.4)
