A TEST Valley man has been barred for the next 18 months from contacting a man he assaulted.
Robert Lester Davis, 23, of Chapel Lane, Broughton, pleaded guilty to the assault on Peter Davis in the village on April 22.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order for 26 sessions of a thinking skills programme and a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days.
The restraining order which runs until November 9 2019 bars Davis from going to an address in Whiteshoot, Broughton.
There was no order for compensation as the court heard that would make the relationship more difficult. The details of the relationship were unavailable.
He was also ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £20 costs.
