SPARSHOLT College will play host to a team of world-class equestrians this summer.
The Australian Paralympic Equine team is to allow visitors a sneak preview of their skills at a demonstration held at the college’s Equine Centre.
The Australians are among the most accomplished horse-riding nations. Since the event was introduced to the Paralympics in 1996, Australia has won eight Paralympic Games medals – two gold, one silver and five bronze.
Grace Bowman, who will be leading the team, previously represented her country at the Beijing Olympics. Team members Hannah Dodd, Joann Formosa and Rob Oakley are all competing in their first Olympic games.
To see the team in action on August 17, call 01962 797373. Tickets costs £15 per person and include a barbecue in the evening. The demonstration will take place from 6pm onwards.
