A BURGLAR stole credit cards from a Stockbridge hotel room last week.
A 68-year-old woman and her husband were robbed at the Grosvenor Hotel in High Street, Stockbridge between 6.30pm and 10pm on Thursday, July 26.
Police believe the burglar entered through an open window and stole the woman’s purse containing credit and debit cards, an iPad, her driving license, a filofax, £200 of John Lewis vouchers and £35 cash.
PC Paddy Coveney, said: “This is an unusual occurrence in this area. However, I would always urge people to shut windows and make sure valuables are in a secure place.
“While we have managed to speak to some people who were at the hotel that evening, we believe there are more people who we’ve not yet spoken to. If you were at the hotel on the evening of Thursday, July 26 and have not yet spoken to the police, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should call PC Coveney at Andover Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
