Driver killed when car hit tree near Winchester
A DRIVER of a 4x4 was killed when his vehicle smashed into a tree north of Winchester yesterday evening.
The BMW X5 careered off the A33 Basingstoke Road about a mile north of Kings Worthy, near the junction with Bridgetts Lane, at about 7.50pm.
The victim, who has not been named, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
