THE Rt Revd George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury from 1991-2002, will preach at a special service for Christian Unity in Winchester Cathedral later this month.
His sermon will be on Sunday, January 24, at 6.30pm. All are welcome.
The service is the culmination of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, an international initiative aimed at working towards closer links between the different Christian denominations through prayer and a greater sense of understanding.
Running from January 17-24, a range of events will be held in places of worship around Winchester, organised by Churches Together in Winchester which provide ecumenical links across the city.
