Ex-mayor Sue Nelmes in 2007 with successor Chris Pines
THE former mayor of Winchester, Cllr Sue Nelmes, is returning to her duties after suffering a heart attack before Christmas.
The Lib Dem member for St Bartholomew ward was now back at work, Winchester City Council's cabinet heard on Wednesday (January 13).
Her group leader, Cllr Kelsie Learney, said her colleague had given up smoking as part of her recovery.
Council chief executive, Simon Eden, said: "Cllr Nelmes seems to be getting back to being fighting fit."
