COMMUTERS endured long delays near Winchester this morning following a series of accidents.
Traffic travelling southbound on the M3 was held up after a motorcyclist came off his bike near junction 11 at Shawford, just before 8am.
Police said his injuries were unknown but they are not thought to be serious.
There were further delays on the southbound M3 after a four-vehicle accident on the eastbound M27.
Three cars and a van were involved in the crash, which happened just after junction eight for Bursledon.
No one was seriously injured in the collision but police said as queuing traffic started to mount up another car was involved in a separate collision and had to be moved to the hard shoulder, creating more delays.
