AN Open Day will be held at the Winchester Churches Nightshelter on January 31.
The annual event is part of Homelessness Sunday and runs from 11am to 2pm at the centre on Jewry Street.
Around 70 people are expected to attend for a tour to see first hand the work the Nightshelter does in combating homelessness in and around Winchester.
Students from local schools and adults will also take part in a poetry and poster competition on the theme of homelessness, which will be judged by Winchester’s Mayor Cllr Dominic Hiscock at the Discovery Centre at 12pm.
To enter the competition or for more information on the Nightshelter contact Michele Price on 01962 862050.
