DRIVING conditions are hazardous on many Hampshire roads this morning after heavy snow.
Several motorists had to abandon their vehicles last night (Tuesday, January 5) as roads became evermore treacherous.
Many cars were left on the A27 at Segensworth and also on the A334 at Wickham on the section near Mayles Lane.
Drivers were also trapped for several hours on the M27 last night as traffic ground to a halt, and there were still problems this morning.
Delays were reported at junction eight at Bursledon due to a broken down vehicle on the westbound carriageway.
Motorists are being advised not to travel unless their journeys are absolutely necessary.
Conditions are particularly bad on untreated side roads and rural lanes.
