Winchester has great public toilets and we should be proud of them.
Our luscious lavatories are award-winning beauties and we should be shouting about them from the rooftops as much as we do about our history, open spaces and cathedral.
Whilst many cities flush all hope of improving their facilities down the sink, we have papered over the cracks to stand apart (at the urinals).
It’s not even necessary to spend a penny (or 20p) like most towns or cities – we wipe the floor by offering a free experience that you’ll remember on your coach all the way home.
So, toilet attendants of Winchester City Council, I shake you by the hand (once you’ve washed them). You should be in the guidebooks alongside King Alf.
