Promises, promises and promises. No, not politics, but our New Year’s Resolutions.
Have you considered how you want to make yourself or the world a better place? Do you just resolve to march up St Catherine’s Hill a few more times a month, or to start volunteering at the Night Shelter?
Maybe you just want to shop less, remember to say thank you more, or will get committed to going to the gym.
Actually, no, please don’t do that, because if I can’t get on the treadmill throughout all of January at 6.30am in the morning at River Park, I’ll be somewhat disappointed.
I started on my own exercise promise on Christmas Day, and was quite disappointed yet also proud that I was the only one jogging out around Winchester!
To have a selfish moment, I’ve decided to publish my resolutions for the people of Winchester. That way you can judge, question and tell me off in town or at the gym, if you’re not seeing them done!
1. Exercise at least three times a week.
2. Travel more & see as much of the UK as possible.
3. Party at least as hard as I work.
4. Continue to build my business to a comfortable level.
5. Make friends as often as possible.
Whatever you decide to do, let’s see if we can make 2011 the year we actually stick to them. I’ll be watching!
