POLICE are investigating two burglaries and an attempted break-in at Wellow.
A property at Tanners Lane in East Wellow was targeted sometime between midday and 2pm last Friday (January 29).
Police say a shovel, stolen from a garden shed at the house, was used to force an entry.
Details of property stolen have not yet been released.
An attempt to break into another home at nearby Whinwhistle Road, in West Wellow, between 10.30 and 11am that day, was thwarted by security locks on windows.
An intruder who broke into a property at Crawley Hill, West Wellow, during the early hours of Saturday was disturbed by the occupier, who was woken by noises.
Police say the intruder ran off empty-handed when challenged by the woman.
Police are not ruling out a link between the incidents.
