Firefighters from Romsey, Stockbridge, Eastleigh, and St Mary's Fire Station in Southampton attended the scene of a van fire at Dean Hill Park, East Dean last night (Thursday).
Station Manager Howard Watts said "There was a limited water supply at the scene so we had to deploy the water carrier from Eastleigh Fire Station. Crews did a great job in containing the fire so that it did not spread to a nearby building. Canisters of bio diesel fuel are stored at this facility and it could have been a much more serious incident"
The cause is not believed to be suspicious.
