An 11-year-old from Whiteparish raised more than £400 for a cancer charity by completing a 20-mile cycle ride.
Jack Dainton, a pupil at Hampshire Collegiate School, undertook the challenge accompanied by his father, Ray.
Their route took them through Redlynch, Downton and Britford to Salisbury and then home via Alderbury and Whaddon.
Jack explained how the idea for the ride came about. “I wanted a personal challenge and to raise money for charity. I decided to choose Cancer Research, as my auntie has been fighting a battle with breast cancer.
“I love riding my bike and it was exciting to cycle such a long way. I found training hard, as the weather was so bad over Christmas, but I used Dean Hill as my hill training route, which prepared me for Pepperbox Hill.”
