A RARE cast silver crucifix dating back to the 13th century has been uncovered in a Hampshire village.
The pendant was found by a man out with a metal detector in a grass field in Twyford, Winchester, a treasure trove inquest in Winchester heard.
It is thought to be worth around £500.
The five-inch find is currently being valued at the British Museum and is expected to be bought by Winchester Museum.
