A ROMSEY barber is urging fellow shopkeepers to fly the flag for brave troops when they march through the town.
Steve Bagley, who runs Fellas on the Hundred, is organising a not-for-profit sale of Union Jacks so businesses can show their support of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment when they parade through the town.
The 1st Battalion of the PWRR, who have been serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, will march with colours flying and bayonets fixed on Tuesday July 14.
And Steve wants as many fluttering flags on display as possible to give them the homecoming they deserve.
He said: “I feel that our British troops have not had the support that they deserve and so I would like to make sure there are plenty of union Jacks around to boost their moral Flags are available for £10 from Steve, who can be contacted on 01794 512 405.
