POLICE have named a pensioner who died after being struck by a reversing car in Alresford.
Donald Carmichael was hit by a silver Skoda Fabia as it was parking in The Dean, off West Street, at 11.20am last Saturday (May 16).
The 85-year-old suffered serious injuries in the incident and was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, where he died yesterday (Tuesday).
The 74-year-old woman driving the car was uninjured.
Sergeant Lyndon Barrett, a roads policing officer for Hampshire Constabulary, said: “We appealed for witnesses at the time, but as yet no-one has come forward.
“Given the time of day, I’m hoping that someone will have seen something and will come forward with information so we can piece together exactly what happened.”
