TRADING standards officers are warning residents to be on their guard against rogue traders in Harestock.
They are warning that some workmen have delivered leaflets in the area, offering roofing and guttering services along with tarmac repairs.
Officers said they had reports of some traders not offering the statutory seven-day ‘cooling off’ period before jobs begin. Instead, they are starting work right away, and giving residents no time to cancel.
Anyone who comes up against any suspicious traders is urged to call Hampshire County Council's Quick Response Team. It can be reached on 01962 833666.
