WINCHESTER civic chiefs are reviewing the future of the Alcohol Exclusion Zone.
The Winchester Community Safety Partnership is currently assessing the AEZ which was launched in July 2005 and extended city-wide in June 2007.
The partnership is asking residents and local businesses for their views on how it has operated.
It was launched after concerns about anti-social drinking in city centre parks and then extended after hardened drinkers merely moved to boundary of the then-zone.
CSP analyst Lorraine Ireland said: “In order for us to gather the opinions of residents, local businesses and partners, we have set up an online survey which is available for anyone to complete.”
The online survey can be accessed at: http://www.wdsp.co.uk/communitysafety/consultations The deadline for responses is Monday May 11. If people do not want to complete the survey online, you can contact the Community Safety team to request a paper copy on 01962 848423 or sdrinkwater@winchester.gov.uk.
The results of the survey will be published in early summer.
