WINCHESTER Discovery Centre is to showcase the work of internationally renowned abstract artist Frank Bowling.
A three-month exhibition of his paintings, including an exclusive view of three new pieces, starts Friday May 22.
Bowling is considered one of the most distinguished black artists in post-war British art schools.
Organisers are hoping his colourful and textured paintings will capture the imagination of visitors.
Yinnon Ezra, director of culture, communities and rural Affairs at Hampshire County Council, said: “We are delighted and honoured to have such a prestigious artist showing their work at Winchester Discovery Centre.
“This exhibition underpins the discovery centre’s ability to attract first class artists to such a culturally exciting venue.”
