PUPILS and staff from a Winchester school are celebrating after raising £3,000 for the Naomi House Children's Hospice.
Youngsters at St Swithuns Junior School have spent the past year fundraising for the charity with a number of events including a Readathon.
Now a further 28 staff and 12 pupils will be taking part in the Clarendon Way Walk on June 7 to raise even more cash for the hospice near Sutton Scotney.
The walk takes fundraisers along the historic route from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury through beautiful countryside with stunning views once witnessed by the likes of King Arthur and Henry II.
Last year nearly 650 walkers took part raising more than £125,000 for Naomi House.
Walkers can chose either a 26-mile or a 12-mile route. For more information on taking part visit www.naomihousewalk.org.uk or call the fundraising office on 01962 843513.
