YOUNG people from across Hampshire are being invited to the AGM of Hampshire County Youth Council in Winchester.
It caters for 11 to 25-year-olds that aim to make a difference in their community.
The elected representatives are usually members of local, district and borough Youth Councils. They use HCYC to share information and good ideas.
At the AGM, which will be held at The Great Hall on Wednesday, April 22, HCYC will elect a new chair, vice-chair, PR officer, treasurer, secretary and webmaster.
During the evening, Cllr David Kirk, Hampshire County Council executive member for Children’s Services, will be the guest speaker.
He said: “I encourage as many young people as possible to come forward for the officer roles available as part of the Hampshire County Youth Council.
“It is a chance for them to represent the views of other young people in Hampshire and get a real idea of how democracy works.”
Youngsters can nominate themselves online at www.hcycweb.net. The meeting starts at 7pm.
