ART was on the menu at Winchester’s Chesil Rectory when celebrated artist David Ferry unveiled a piece specially commissioned by the restaurant.
A witty interpretation of “a night at the Chesil”, the piece was commissioned by new owner Mark Dodd who wanted to showcase Mr Ferry’s talents in his restaurant.
Mr Ferry was head of fine art and printmaking at Winchester School of Art for some 20 years before recently moving to take up a similar position in Cardiff.
Mr Dodd said: “Great art, great food and great wine is a very good combination.”
