A GROUP of students organised an Easter egg hunt in Winchester to raise money for charity.
The team of five is studying events and leisure management at the city’s university.
They needed to organise a community project for the course, and aimed to help Naomi House Children’s Hospice at Sutton Scotney in the process.
The charity currently has £5.7m trapped in a failed bank, which the students said influenced their decision.
The money was raised through a day of activities, including a raffle, colouring contest, and Easter egg hunt.
It took place at Winchester Rugby Club in Nuns Road yesterday (Tuesday, April 7), and was designed for children aged eight and under.
Organisers are now counting up to see how much money the event made.
