A FAMILY fun day is being held in Colden Common on behalf of the Joe Glover Trust.
The eight-year-old, who lived in the village, lost his battle with cancer in 2006 aged eight.
The event will start at 1.30pm on Sunday, April 26, at Colden Common Park in Boyes Lane.
It will feature two football matches, for which the teams are already in place. The first will be between youngsters in the village, and the second between the grown-ups.
Aside the football there will be face painting, a barbecue, lucky dip, coconut shy and raffle.
Prizes are expected to include sports vouchers and Southampton FC memorabilia.
