THE Davis Playing Fields are an intrinsic part of the Badger Farm community and the only area where children can enjoy a genuine, safe area for leisure; kicking a ball about just playing or having a picnic with parents.
The playground with many enjoyable swings and slides is literally next to the Kickabout (Chronicle, November 28).
As a resident literally a couple of minutes walk away, it is a delight.
As the playing field has been as such for around 20 years and kept in perfect order, it really must become an 'official and protect village green'.
