A CHRISTMAS pop-up shop has returned to the Brooks Shopping Centre in Winchester.

Mr and Mrs Claus have been welcomed back to the upper floor, filling the unit between HMV and Mooeys.

The seasonal store sells festive decorations and gifts, and is open every day until December 24.

The business is run by partners Mandy Chalk and Graham Budd, known as Mr and Mrs Claus. The pair started the business 15 years ago, originally opening in one of the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market huts before moving into empty shops in The Brooks around eight years ago to have more space.

Mandy told the Chronicle: “It is a family business.

“We have been doing this for quite a long time now.

“We have a lot of people coming in, and we have been building up a following on our Facebook page. People are always pleased to see us back. It is nice to be part of the community – being a local and being part of the community is really nice.”

She continued: “We have a lot of different lines this year, including new gingerbread. We are selling a lot this year, which is great!”

Mr and Mrs Santa Claus is open 10am-5pm Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-4.30pm on Sundays.
