A FAST food joint opening in Winchester next week is applying for permission to have outdoor dining.
Five Guys, in the High Street, has submitted an application to Winchester City Council to have outdoor seating.
The business, which is opening on Monday, December 2 in the unit previously occupied by Debenhams, is hoping to have tables and seating outside the shop between 11am and 11pm.
A notice in the shop window says: “We hereby give notice that an application has been made on November 25 to Winchester City Council for the consideration of permission to place furniture on the highway for the following purposes: consumption of food and drinks.”
The notice says that the outside furniture that Five Guys is hoping to use includes four tables, eight chairs and eight barriers.
Anyone who wants to submit representations in connection with the application is asked to email licensing@winchester.go.uk.
