A WINCHESTER man has been fined after he was found guilty of sexual assault.
Robert Leonard, 67, of Andover Road, touched a woman without her consent on December 8, a court heard.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on April 12, he pleaded not guilty to the crime. According to the court record, he was found guilty in his absence on September 23.

Leonard also later pleaded guilty to failing to attend court at an appointed time on September 23, admitting to the offence on September 28.
On November 27, magistrates fined Leonard £360.
He must also pay a £144 victim surcharge, £620 costs and £200 compensation.
The total amount of £1,324 will be paid in full by December 25, with the court record saying it will be deduced from Leonard's benefits.
