STUDENTS at the University of Southampton will face disruption after a building has been closed for the rest of the academic year.

The Winchester School of Art annexe on The Broadway, just down from the High Street, has been closed indefinitely and teaching has had to be relocated.

A spokesperson for the University of Southampton said: "The building owner, Winchester City Council, advised us of a water pipe issue at the weekend so we’ve relocated teaching for the rest of the academic year – there’s about two weeks left of this term."

Winchester City Council has been approached for comment.
