MEMBERS of Winchester's Jewish community braved Storm Bert to plant bulbs as part of a national day of action.
As in previous years they planted bulbs, in this case 1,000 wood anemones, in Hillier's Haven in Abbotts Barton.
This was part of Mitzvah Day, the UK's largest faith-led day of social action.
In previous years the Mitvah Day saw bulb-planting on The Weirs in the city centre.
