THE Woodman on London Road in Purbrook, Waterlooville, has reopened following a "transformational" investment.

The pub is part of Proper Pubs, the community operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.

Attending the official reopening on November 15 was community hero and passionate operator Emma Broomfield, who is local to the area and has been a member of staff at The Woodman for two years.

Emma’s knowledge of the pub combined with her unique insight into the local community has enabled her to create a vibrant social hub that sits at the heart of Waterlooville.
