THE roof at a hospital in Winchester has been damaged in Storm Bert, forcing the closure of parts of its car park and some pavements.
High winds struck Hampshire over the weekend, dislodging roof tiling at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust informed members of the public of the damage in a Facebook post on November 25, in which they also warned that some areas of the hospital's car park and walkways are now out of bounds 'for safety reasons'.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's post read as follows: "Following the recent high winds, some roof tiles have been dislodged at Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
"For safety reasons, Community Nurses' Parking spaces are not accessible outside the Nightingale Wing, and the pavements from Costa Coffee to the area around Florence Portal House have been closed.
"Apologies for any inconvenience, remedial work will be carried out as quickly as possible."
