RE: the photo on Bygone Hampshire page in Chronicle on November 14. This photograph was taken at a Royal Observer Corps Museum Exhibition, most likely at the Jubilee Hall, Kings Worthy.
It shows a young lad sighting the ROC Post Instrument that is mounted on the Post chart Table featuring a gridded map of the local area. The exhibition commemorated the presence of an ROC Observation Post at Kings Worthy which was set up by Jim Holdaway (on tricycle) in 1926.
I am third from the left and to my left in dark jumper is Tony Dowland (local historian and lecturer).
