A college group has won a national award for its work in promoting green skills.

Sparsholt College Group (SCG), which includes Andover Campus, University Centre Sparsholt and Sparsholt Campus, was named the winner of the Tomorrow's Employees award at the 2024 UK and Ireland Green Gown Awards.

The award recognises SCG's role in equipping staff and the region's employers with green skills to help shape the planet's future.

SCG was also nominated for the Creating Impact award for its Equine Carbon Calculator project, developed in collaboration with Farm Carbon Toolkit, White Griffin, Hartpury College and Derby College.

The judges praised SCG for helping future employees adopt sustainable behaviours and for raising awareness of sustainable approaches in local businesses.
