An inquiry is to be launched after a planning application to built 270 homes in Romsey was refused and an appeal was lodged by the developer.
Gladman Developments lodged an appeal to Test Valley Borough Council last month after the authority saw fit to refuse its application.
Gladman wants to build 270 new homes built around Halterworth Primary School in Romsey – a proposal that has been met with backlash from residents living in the area.

Residents are now being invited to share their views on the proposal.
Test Valley councillor for Romsey, Cllr John Parker said: “The appeal has now been formally registered by the Planning Inspectorate - it will be in public ‘by inquiry’.
“The dates and location are yet to be confirmed but if you want to make a representation you can do so now until December 19.”
