To the councillor, who thinks it is a good idea to move Winchester Bus Station to the Railway Station; He obviously does not use the buses, or if he does, he must have eyesight problems.
I watched the buses coming into the Bus Station last week, and was amazed how full they were when arriving and departing, and how many people were either old or infirm or both, along with their walking sticks, pull along baskets and walking frames. There are three supermarket-type stores within a five-minute walk of the Bus Station, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Iceland.
Does he think these people can walk all the way from the railway station to the bottom of the town and back again. This councillor, should apply for a job at Disney World…as a clown.

Letter editor's note: If the bus station moves from its current location it is more likely there will be no bus station at all, with buses using various stops in the city centre.
