THE Micheldever Wine Circle’s annual Christmas party will take place on December 6 at the Northbrook Hall, Micheldever. The event starts at 7.30pm. Enjoy an evening filled with good food, wine, company and light-hearted fun. Absolutely no knowledge or experience is necessary – anyone who enjoys drinking wine is likely to enjoy the event.

SOUTH Wonston Village Stores has announced that the post office is now back open for business. The post office services reopened on Monday, November 18. In a post on Facebook, the South Wonston Village Stores team said: “We sincerely thank you for your patience and kind support throughout this process. We look forward to serving you as we continue our efforts in providing excellent service.”

THE Gratton Trust is hosting a Jingle and Mingle event on Saturday, December 14 at the Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney. Lasting from 5pm to 7pm, members of the public will be able to come along to join in Christmas songs and carols.

THE Scots Tots Christmas party will take place on Friday, December 13. The event will last from 10am to 11.20am, with a range of activities for youngsters, including gifts, a bouncy castle, Christmas stories, crafts and more. Spaces cost £3 per family, with the deadline to sign up on December 2.

ONE last reminder that the next South Wonston Repair Café will take place on Saturday, November 23 at the South Wonston Pavilion from 11am to 1pm. The café will help repair items that are broken but which owners don’t want to throw away. The repairers have experience fixing household items including hand electrical appliances, computers and textile repairs. FROGS, the fundraising organisation for Barton Stacey, are aiming to resurrect the Fun Run, with a 10K, 3K and colour run event. In order to make this possible, the organisation is looking for help from anyone who has experience organising a fun run or who would like to be involved in planning this one. Anyone who is able to help is asked to contact the FROGs by emailing bartonstaceyfrogs@gmail.com as soon as possible. The group is also looking for people who have contacts for generators/bathrooms for the event.

MICHELDEVER Church of England Primary School is holding a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 14 from 2pm to 4.30pm. There will be a range of festive attractions, including meeting Santa in his grotto, Christmas crafts and games, maker’s stalls and more. Booking to meet Santa is essential, forms can be found in the schools’ reception or by emailing adminoffice@micheldever.hants.sch.uk.

TEA for a cause, in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and the Winchester Hospice will be at the Northbrook Hall, Micheldever, on Saturday, November 23. The event will run from 2pm until 5pm.

The event is organised by Louise Kayes and Ollie Bramley. Donations of cakes and raffle prizes for the event will be gratefully received.

A TALK exploring remote mountains in Spain will be held at Northbrook Hall, Micheldever on November 29 at 7.15pm. Presented by nature specialist Andy Tucker, the talk offers a breathtaking tour with spectacular photography of remote Spanish mountains and wilderness habitats and touches on conservation. Tickets cost £10 on the door.
