A HAMPSHIRE country pub is set to reopen after a £320,000 makeover.
The Woodman on London Road in Purbrook, Waterlooville is set to reopen on Friday, November 15, following a "transformational" investment.
The pub is part of Proper Pubs, the award-winning community operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Behind the bar is community hero and passionate operator Emma Broomfield who is local to the area and has been a member of staff at The Woodman for two years.

Emma’s knowledge of the pub combined with her unique insight into the local community will enable her to create a vibrant social hub that sits at the heart of Waterlooville.
Inside, the pub will undergo a full refurbishment to breathe a new lease of life into the site. This will include updated flooring throughout as well as brand new furniture, fixtures, fittings and lighting to give the pub a brighter, more modernised look and feel.
In addition, The Woodman will host a dedicated games and bar area complete with a pool table and television screens for visitors to enjoy. At the front of The Woodman, it will feature brand new lighting and signage as well as a newly installed seating area to greet customers.
To the rear of the pub, it will host a revitalised spacious beer garden complete with a glass pergola, festoon lighting, heaters and an outdoor television screen so it can be used all year round.
The pub will be reopened officially by the local Mayor, Peter Wade, at 6pm on Friday, November 15, which will be followed by a celebratory live performance from local artist, 60 Watts at 9pm.
Entertainment will continue throughout the weekend with a DJ set from Misfit Collective starting at 8pm on Saturday, November 16.

The Woodman will offer a wide range of drinks offers, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle, Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
Emma Broomfield, operator of The Woodman, is excited about the reopening and said: “The pub is already looking incredible, and I have very much enjoyed watching the transformation happen right in front of my eyes.
"I can’t wait to welcome back customers to show off The Woodman’s new look and everything that it has to offer. Going forward, we hope to continue supporting the local community in any way we can through our ongoing local foodbank collections as well as fundraising to have a lifesaving defibrillator installed.”
